1. Stop the application service (Services.msc > Stop 'ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus' service)

2. Go to [servicedesk]\applications and rename the folder 'extracted' as 'extracted_old'.
3. Open the command prompt (launch it as an administrator), go to [servicedesk]\bin and execute 'run.bat'.
It is another method to start the application, if it throws any error, take a screen-shot and send it to support@servicedeskplus.com along with your contact details. If it starts without any issues, then press 'ctrl+C' to terminate the batch and start the application from the services.
