Re : Request does not fall under your permitted scope
Hi Prem,
I ran the above query and it didn't return any results.
I ran it across two difference users. I used 'first name surename', 'first name', 'surname' and username.
No combination returned any results for any user
Re : Backupdata.bat fails
Once you have upgraded to the latest version of SDP, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Stop ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service.Step 2: Take a backup of the existing build for security reasons.
From the command prompt, move to [ServiceDesk Plus-Home]\bin directory and execute backUpData.bat. This will start the backup process.
cmd>[ServiceDesk Plus Home]\bin
cmd>backUpData.bat
where, ServiceDesk Plus Home -> C:\ManageEngine\ServiceDesk
Re : Cannot login after SSO is enabled
Good afternoon
.
I implemented the SDP + in my organization to evaluate
the system. After importing the user accounts from
AD to the
SDP +, I configured authentication via
Active Directory with SSO, but when a user who is logged
into AD on
your workstation accesses the SDP website +,
authentication by SSO does not work and appear the fields
username and password to login. I'm attaching the serverout0.txt
compressed file for analysis
and possible
help.

New Install - Failed To Start Server
When I start run.sh I get
"Unclean shutdown of previous run. Failed to start the server. Please refer logs for more details"
I'm not able to find the logs. The log files I do see aren't being written to.
Re : Remote Control via SCCM
Error when processing mail
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Re : Cannot login after SSO is enabled
Kindly go to Manageengine\Servicedesk\logs and send me the file that says jespa.log
I will analyze it and send you the next steps to work on this issue.

Re : Duplicate Assets (_old)
We are getting a similar problem. I looked over the document, but the only resolution offered was to:
uninstall the agent completely from the registry and deploy it through AD GPO.
The agent was originally deployed through AD GPO, so I'm not sure why that would fix it.
Even if I delete the bottom asset and rename the top one to the correct name, if I scan it then SD gives it the _old name and creates a new asset.
Why is this happening? We've been able to scan purchased assets before and I'd like to keep the purchase information tied to the asset.
Thanks!
Re : Duplicate Assets (_old)
Figured it out. There was a space in front of the service tag, causing the system to think the service tags were different

Re : Java problem trying to run updatemanager
The path from where you have executed the updatemanager seems to be from the desktop, which I think needs to be checked. Also "UpdateManager.Ink" is not the correct command. Kindly browse to the bin(Manageengine\Servicedesk\bin) folder from command prompt and execute 'Updatemanager.bat'.
If you still face any issue in upgrading the application, kindly let us know for further assistance.
