We will fix this in one of the hot fixes before March 2015. License can be applied as below.
For Windows :
- Stop the SDP service
- Open a command prompt and move to bin directory in ServiceDesk
Home folder. i.e If ServiceDesk is installed in C: directory, then
cd c:\ManageEngine\ServiceDesk\bin
- Type run.bat and hit enter
- A pop up will appear where you can point to the license file and proceed.
- The license would be applied and the server would be started.
For Linux :
- Stop ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus server.
- Copy the license file to ManageEngine\Servicedesk folder.
- Open a command prompt and change directory to [ServicedeskHome]\bin directory
- Start the server from the command prompt as in cmd> run.sh
- You will prompted to read the license agreement. Press
"q" to quit the license agreement.
- Choose option 1 to enter the license information
- Enter the name of the user as specified in the license file. [ Open the license file and use the name as specified. For example, the name will be as shown in "......UserInfo Name="Jeff Daugherty" CompanyName=".................................." ]
- Specify the path to license file [ c:\adventnet\me\servicedes\license.xml is the path to the license file in this case, assuming license.xml is the name of the license file ].
